PRAWN ROLLS


This  is not very spicy and anyone could savour it!I am not a lover of ready made or store fresh wrappers! So here’s the recipe for homemade wrappers.

Ingredients for wrappers:

1 cup flour

2 eggs

salt to taste

oil for frying

Ingredients for filling:

2 cups cooked prawns (boiled or lightly sauteed in oil)

1/2 cup shredded cabbage

2 spring onions with greens or leeks

salt and pepper to taste

1/2 tsp chillie sauce(optional)

butter or olive oil -1tblsp

Wrappers:Make a thin batter of eggs, flour ,salt and water.Fry thin pancakes on one side. keep a little batter aside.fill the pancakes with the filling on the cooked side,roll up,dip in remaining batter and deep fry till golden.

Filling:heat the butter in a pan,add onions,and saute till light brown.Add all other ingredients and cook over low heat till dry.

Rolls could be served with chilli or tomato sauce.

Variations:Fish,crab meat,and boiled egg can be used instead of prawn.
