FISH CUTLETS


This is a simple,easy,and tasty cutlet recipe with less spices.If you notice there is no ginger or garlic used.

250 gm fish(mackeral is best suited)

3-4 potatoes

2 onions (chopped)\

3-4 green chillies sliced

1 tsp.pepper powder

1/2 tsp.cummin seed powder

lime juice-2-3 tblsp

curry leaves

1/2 tsp pepercorns

a pinch of saffron

salt to taste

For the coating:

2-3 tblsp.  flour

1 cup water

or

a well beaten egg only

Enough breadcrumbs to coat.

Boil the fish with a pinch of turmeric.pepper corns and salt.Boil the potatoes separately mash coarsely and keep aside.In 2 tblsp.oil,saute onions,green chillies,and curry leaves.When its slightly pink, add the cleaned and flaked fish and saute for 5 mins.remove from fire.Add the mashed potatoes,and the spices,lime juice,salt and bind well.Shape into cutlets.Dip in egg,or the flour batter,coat with breadcrumbs,and deep fry till golden color.
