COMBINATIONS OF JUICES


Summer is on the rampage ,and it feels as if

you could live on juices alone !

Morning hours it’s really comforting to have

fresh juices ,and it’s also important to have it

healthy .

So today I will be giving some combinations

and ingredients only .


1 . Orange and mint juice.

Juice the orange and mint separately .Strain the

orange juice only . Mint need not be strained.

Add honey or sugar and a pinch of salt .

Serve.Serving chilled or with ice is your option


2.Grapes, white pumpkin,Sweet lime juice!

Blend with needed water and honey or sugar.

Strain and serve !


3.Amla(gooseberry)+ cucumber +pineapple!

Blend,add needed water and honey .Serve

strained!


Note: People having acidic bodies ,should

always add vegetables like white pumpkin

(Sorakkai),bottlegourd ,cucumber

ridgegourd to juices or salads .

Vegetables with water content acts as a

good alkaliser .

Adding a vegetable or some greens in juices

is always healthy!

APPLE,ORANGE,GINGER JUICE


Nature’s blessing to mankind is the best, and

the knowledge to avail of it’s benefits is another

It’s been a decade of not consuming any fizz

drinks ,and anything in a can in my family.

It’s only fresh fruit drinks ,so I mix and match

fruits, to present something new to my family,

motivated on health benefits alone.

Today’s breakfast juice and immunity booster

recipe is …Apple,Orange and Ginger!

INGREDIENTS

2 apples peeled and cored

3 oranges

1 inch piece ginger

a pinch of turmeric

Sweetness of your choice

A pinch of salt

METHOD

Blend all the ingredients together .

Mix in desired quantity of water.

Strain and serve!

HEALTHY CILANTRO JUICE


Make your juices green,for the extra boost to

immunity building!

Some suggestions for the addition of greens

Cilantro or coriander,Spinach or Palak,Moringa

Mint ,are the greens which I usually include in

breakfast drinks.

When it comes to addition of green vegetables,

it is a long list . I will be posting combination of

vegetables too.

It’s always best to include a vegetable with the

fruit juice.

As gooseberry is considered to be the little

wonder it’s best to include it daily in any form.

So …to today’s drink with the gooseberry /Amla/Nellikai.

INGREDIENTS

A handful of coriander leaves

Amla 2-3

1 Pear / green apple

2-3 gooseberry ( Amla , Nellikai)

A tiny piece ginger

Honey to taste

A pinch of turmeric

A pinch of pepper

A pinch of salt

METHOD

Blend all ingredients together with water.

Strain and serve!

PINEAPPLE,ORANGE,PEAR JUICE


A juice with high content of Vitamin C .A good

immunity booster. Mostly yellow fruits and

vegetables should be included in your diet .

•Always use country sugar or honey .

•Add a pinch of Himalayan salt to any juice you

make.

•If you are not adding ginger , make it a habit to

add a pinch of dry ginger powder.

•Add a pinch of turmeric compulsorily.

Add a pinch of nutmeg powder to any juice you

make .

Some pointers I thought to share,and to the

recipe now.

INGREDIENTS

1 cup chopped pineapple

2 pears

1 orange / sweet lime

A pinch of salt

A pinch of dry ginger powder

A pinch or turmeric

Honey / country sugar / palm candy to taste

METHOD

Blend all the fruits , in the juicer fine .

Add water to your choice

Strain and serve!

POMEGRANATE BEETROOT JUICE


Another healthy juice to my healthy juices list.

Beetroot and pomegranate are one of the best

nature has offered us.

Best to strengthen your immunity system,best

for anaemic patients .

Tip for the healthy juices: Always include a

piece of ginger , and a pinch of turmeric.

Do not use white sugar , use only country

sugar honey or palm candy sugar.

Now to the red,red healthy recipe!

INGREDIENTS

3 pomegranates

1 beetroot

1 small piece ginger

A pinch of salt

Country sugar/palm candy/honey

A pinch of turmeric

METHOD

Blend all the above ingredients with a little

water fine .

Add 2-3 cups water , mix , strain and serve!

POMEGRANATE ‘N’ HIBISCUS JUICE


Another addition to healthy juices . Pomegranate considered to be the most healthiest fruit should be included daily in one’s diet.

Loaded with antioxidants it is one fruit any person or patient can consume.

The Hibiscus containing amazing health benefits ,and having rich antioxidants like the pomegranate can be consumed by any person without fear of side effects.

Liver diseases,heart diseases,pressure and cholesterol and many more diseases can be controlled if regular intake of these fruits is made habitual.

Scenes of red hibiscus blooms in my garden ,made me prepare this for breakfast today.

Let me share this with you all now.

INGREDIENTS (3-4 servings)

3-4 pomegranates

5-8 red flowers (stamens removed,washed)

small piece ginger

1 lime or lemon extract.

Any sweetner – honey/sugar/palm sugar.

1/4 tsp salt

2 cups  water

METHOD

Immerse the flowers in 1 cup hot water ,till the water turns red and the flower

white.Strain it and discard the petals.

Remove seeds from pomegranate fruits ,and blend in juicer with rest of the ingredients.

Mix in Hibiscus extract and adjust sweetness to your taste

VARIATION: You could make a lassi out of the same combination by using yoghurt or curd instead of water.

PINEAPPLE,KALE ‘N ‘ APPLE JUICE


When it is juices for breakfast ,let it be a rule to add in some greens to the juices which is

an absolute health tip.

Kale  considered to be king of the cruciferous family,has amazing health benefits.It has a

very low calorie content and high nutrient content.

The combination of pineapple and kale is totally divine.Do try and let me know your

comments and suggestions.

Another tip from my kitchen : When you prepare any juices for your family ,and that too

for breakfast always add a pinch of turmeric (considering health factors).

If you are fortunate to get fresh turmeric roots just drop in a piece while blending.

INGREDIENTS

1/2 pineapple peeled,cored and cubed

2 leaves of Kale

1 apple (optional)

small root of turmeric

a small piece of ginger

a pinch of salt.

honey or palm jaggery (if sweetness is needed)

a pinch of pepper and cummin seed powder.

METHOD

Blend all these in a juice extractor or mixer and serve .
